A crude bomb explosion killed one and injured five on Sunday at a relief camp for riot-hit victims in Kandhamal.
According to sources, the explosion at Nandagiri relief camp in G. Udayagiri occurred when the deceased was preparing the bomb.
The blast occurred at a tent occupied by Patrasen Mallick, a native of Beticola village.
"We are trying to identify the deceased. The matter is being investigated," Kandhamal SP Praveen Kumar said.
During the investigation, the police also recovered four guns from the relief camp.
The camp has come under scrutiny, and police forces have also been deployed to avoid any further conflicts.
Many of the inhabitants in the relief camp are said to be victims of last year's anti-Christian violence.
The police, meanwhile, have denied any communal angle in the incident.
