Hundreds of aspiring Christian entrepreneurs and business owners would come together for a convention aimed at empowering professionals to network and interact for "mutual growth and development".
A joint initiative of Dimensions and Kanara Entrepreneurs Global (KE Global), the event christened 'Entreprenet 2012' will be held from January 13-14, 2012, at Mumbai's Intercontinental The Lalit.
While KE Global is a corporation for individuals from the Kanara region, Dimensions was born as a movement to bring Christian businessmen, entrepreneurs and professionals together for mutual connectivity.
"Believe or not there are a large number of successful businessmen and entrepreneurs within the Christian community here. What we aim by this event is to connect the businessmen and professionals from various walks of life and empower those vying for success and growth within the community," said Freddy Mendonca, co-founder of Mumbai-based Dimensions.
The participants at Entreprenet 2012 will include business owners, professionals, leaders of organisations, managing directors, CEOs, investors and potential entrepreneurs. The two days schedule will feature speakers and presenters from across the globe.
Topics that would be explored include HR, Finance, Business Development, Technology, Banking, Infrastructure, Sales and Marketing, and Customer Relations. Vodafone Essar managing director Martin Peters is expected to speak at the gathering.
"We are organising a convention of this kind for the second time. We are expecting some 500 people. Besides India, we would see participants from the Middle East, Australia and North America," informed Mendonca.
Speaking of the objectives, Mendonca shared "Firstly we want to promote those at top of the ladder to create an environment of success for all based on Christian values. Secondly, we want to elevate and raise spirits of those who are already in some business. Thirdly we want to encourage the beginners to pursue entrepreneurship."
"In the past, Dimensions have been organising meetings between businessmen and professionals from various walks of life, to create wealth and use the same for community development. Participants meet to promote their businesses, ideas, and encourage new business alliances," said Mendonca.
He added: "We want to build entrepreneurs from within the community. We want to see them go from being paid employees to employers. We want to harness resources and nurture each other's growth in a spirit of transparency and trust."
