Doctors and pharmacists can usually help you with any questions you have about a particular medication, but you must always ask and discuss any other concerns you have with them.
Here's a list of questions to ask your health–care provider, courtesy of the University of Iowa:
* Why do I need this medicine?
* How does this medicine work?
* Is the generic form effective?
* How long should I take this medication?
* What are its side effects?
* What do I do if I miss a dose?
* Will it interact with any other drugs I'm taking?
* Will it interact with alcohol?
* May I take this medication with fluids or foods?
