Cuttack, Orissa – Even after being sentenced to death in the Graham Staines triple murder case, Dara Singh, alias Ravindra Kumar Pal, remains unremorseful.
On Friday a local court convicted him and five others for assaulting jail employees.
Bikram Patnaik, Judicial Magistrate (First Class) yesterday sentenced the missionary killer and five others to one–year rigorous imprisonment and fined them Rs. 500 each.
The charge? For restraining, assaulting and causing hurt to the staff of the circle jail at Choudwar in February 2003.
It is reported that the court found the accused guilty under Sections 452, 332, 427 of IPC, Section 3 of Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act and Section 7 of Criminal Amendment Act.
