Bibel TV, the German Christian media broadcaster, has launched a nationwide initiative called Die Erinnerung 2026 (The Memory 2026) to encourage public reflection on God and faith. The campaign aims to reach citizens in both large cities and smaller communities through 30,000 posters displayed across Germany.

The posters pose thought-provoking questions such as “Someone is very excited about you”, “How can you find love?” and “Is there anyone out there who likes me for who I am?”, concluding with the message: “More at your church and on Bibel TV”. Kai-Marcus Thäsler, managing director of the Outdoor Advertising Association, emphasised that the widespread placement ensures nearly every citizen will encounter the campaign.

In addition to physical posters, the campaign includes online advertisements across social media platforms, traditional media, flyers and postcards.

Bibel TV organisers explain that the campaign seeks “to remind as many people in Germany as possible about the question of God and to invite them to take a first – or renewed – step into a local church.” The initiative is intended as a service to all Christian denominations, fostering unity among congregations.

“Faith should become a topic of conversation again, not only within churches and Christian organisations but also in everyday discussions between individuals,” the organisers underline.

Churches and Christian groups are encouraged to use the campaign to complement their own activities. Bibel TV provides digital templates for posters, flyers and advertisements that can be adapted locally. “Places of faith are spaces where people can find meaningful encounter, companionship and answers. Use the campaign as a door opener,” the broadcaster said.

Matthias Brender, head of Bibel TV, added, “We warmly invite all Christians and congregations to use this campaign, funded by thousands of supporters, as a starting point for conversation. Neighbours, colleagues and friends will also see the posters, making it easier to talk about God.”

Bibel TV is an ecumenical Christian media organisation in Germany, largely financed by donations. It operates as a non-profit limited company with 16 shareholders, including the Catholic and Protestant churches, each holding a 12.75% stake. The broadcaster aims to provide a cross-denominational service through a variety of media offerings.
