Goa: Home Robbed While Occupants Attend Good Friday Service

Unidentified thieves broke into a house in Loutolim, Goa, and escaped with gold ornaments worth lakhs of rupees when the family had gone to church for the Good Friday service.

The culprits gained entry into Francis Fernandes' house by breaking open the rear door, police told TOI. The robbery came to light when the family returned home at around 8pm.

Police said no clues could be obtained regarding the culprits even as a sniffer dog squad and fingerprint experts were pressed into service.

FIR has been filed against unknown accused.
