Addressing the gathering the Archbishop said, "We are not here for individual cases but collective atrocities on woman and people in general." He exhorted people to pray for the perpetrators that their hearts be changed.

Expressing his sentiments on the inability of authorities to arrest the culprits. He remarked that the recent crimes against Christians were more pre-planned there cases of mere accidents.

General Sect of National Council of Churches in India (NCCI), Rev. Dr. Roger Gaikwad condemned the violence on the nun and said "it was very shameful" that a religious nun who offered her entire life for service was attacked.

Highlighting the growth of deliberate and premeditated crimes against Christians and other minorities communities, Sister Daya Mathew representing the Salesian Missionaries of Mary Immaculate (SMMI) mentioned a survey data of 200 crimes against Christians and 160 crimes against Muslims in the past one year alone.

In solidarity and support for the aggrieved nun, representatives from various communities and denominations including Hindu, Muslim and Sikh religion lit the candle and placed it on the tray.

Dr. Aaradhana Upadhay recited a pledge not to tolerate crimes against women and the whole congregation repeated with the lighted candle.
